Demetria Clark is the Director and Founder of Birth Arts. Demetria does the training sessions for Distance Learning, Europe and some of the US.

Demetria is believer in birth and the power all women have inside them to give birth. At Birth Arts we know that the many roles a doula, postpartum doula and monitrice play at a birth can be an essential part of the women's birth experience. At Birth Arts we train doulas for the world of birth and all of it's many possibilities. Working with Birth Arts means that you are ready to make positive change in the world of birth, one doula at a time.

Demetria believes that as a doula trainer that it is her responsibility to constantly re-educate and always keep abreast of new developments in the doula world. She attends the Midwifery Today Conferences often to further her education in birth and the practices. In addition she teaches at the MANA conferences.

She is also a Master Herbalist and Aromatherapist, Certified Doula, and Midwives Assistant. Demetria regularly writes for Special Delivery, Birth Kit, Vegetarian Baby and many other fine publications on herbalism, birth and other similar topics.

Additionally she has taught at herbal and midwifery conferences throughout the US as well as being an Adjunct Professor at NHCTC and Midwives College of Utah.

Demetria will be announcing the arrival of her new book in 2008.

One a personal note Demetria is a full supporter of the Safe Motherhood Quilt Project.
